BANJIR KILAT: Apa kemungkinan yang perlu diperiksa?

Image
Kenapa? 5. Beberapa kemunginan::  (a) Sumbat dekat A, B, C dan seterusnya.

DS Anwar, it's time to revamp all the local councils and the Local Government Act

Image
Damansara MP, YB Gobind Singh is aware of this issue, and yet after the response we received from MPS engineering head, Tuan Ir Hj Shaiful Nor Aidil B Mohd Jaya who posted this photo (above), he remained silent.  This makes me wonder why after so many months since February this year, I highlighted this to his attention, was this a waste of my time? Yet, despite promises one after another, nothing was done to relocate the signboard.  The issue:  I had merely highlighted that a number of the signboards under MPS needed a fresh coat of paint so that we can cut down on the losses due to the rust. They are similar signboards in the entire municipality:    MPS has no excuse not to repaint these roadsigns unless their intention is to let them rust and replace a totally new set costing another few hundred thousand or one or maybe even five million Ringgit at least. The original signboard which was removed from this strategic position at the junction, was repainte...

Elected Representatives Should Solve Problems

Image
PUA Pei Ling was one of the "newbie" picked by her party, PKR to contest in Bukit Lanjan constituency during the last state election.  She was probably picked by her successor, Elizabeth Wong, who has since been ostracised by her constituents for losing touch with the grassroots. When complaints were told to her, she remained silent. Bukit Lanjan folks will now know of this firsthand experience I have with Pei Ling. Although I voted for her,  her attitude is what I find most intolerable.  I believe she won with a landslide majority because all of us still wanted to show our support to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's madani government. Certainly, it has nothing to do with Pei Ling's own performance. After all, she was was a new face and not even his own comrades in PKR or PH knew her.  Our Expectations Being newly elected, I expected Pei Ling to know what is happening on the ground in her constituency. For nearly a month, I have asked a number of people, includi...

Invitation to YB Gobind

Image
This is an open invitation to YB Gobind to come and see for himself the condition in the the padang which has been in this condition for the past 30 years since it was built.  YB Gobind Although pictures and video paint a thousand words, it's nothing like coming yourself for a jog in the one and only park we have. You will get to experience yourself what the residents, especially the senior citizens and children, have to live with every day when they go on their morning walk.  This track has been like this for a number of years now. This issue was already brought up to you before the last general election. Now that the general election is over, we need him to get you and the councillor you appointed to act fast.  In this video, you can see how some children can trip when they walk over the piece of concrete slab that has been dislocated. Just look at how dangerous these slabs can be: It is easy for the senior citizens to trip over these concrete slabs.  The sl...

YB Gobind, please set a good example to your fellow party members

This drain was finally fixed after the MP pushed the button on the local council and its councillor. Why does it have to be that way? Local councillors and local council staff are paid a salary to do the job.  For the past few years, we have had local councillors who are operating like the ones before 2008. This is the problem after PH has been in power for 15 years in Selangor. A new MB should be appointed, and a new state exco should be set up. Local councils should be headed by YDPs who are always on the ground, not like the YDP of MPS and the heads of departments who received Whatsapp photographs and complaints and does nothing about the complaints. This is what prompted me to start this blog a few years ago.  ================================ (This blogpost was delayed 2 weeks because Gobind asked for time to resolve the issues yet a few issues which he asked for as a matter of priority have yet to be resolved. I have asked and informed him on two occasions on June ...
