Tony Pua may think that he won the general election in 2008 against former Member of Parliament, Chew Mei Fun because he was right that the MP's job was not to look at people's drains, illegal dumps, and so on. Let me put this point blank to him and other elected representatives of his kind that I am not the only one complaining about not being on the ground when there are issues.
It is hard to say that you are a MP for the people, elected by the people, without being with the people until there is a general election.
It is no wonder that even DAP Selangor have kicked him out of Selangor and the DAP central committee. He has to retreat into his own cave and start meditating again to get the answer why he was rejected by DAP in Selangor. I would be surprised if the party leadership still nominate him as candidate for any seat.
The picture above shows a drain grating cover that gone missing. Despite highlighting it to senior DAP members, no one at this juncture would do anything, but at least, for goodness sake, get the local councillor Calvin Cheong to have it covered immediately before someone's motorcycle crashes into it.

The author of this other blog had, in fact, started to highlight the issues on the ground. In fact, this involves another of your team, whom in our opinion, is still slightly better compared to the two councillors you placed in my zone.
I have, in fact, spoken to the author who is a decent journalist with good knowledge on the ground. He understands the issues in his area. If to me, I would rope him into my team, but unfortunately, I am not interested in any position despite being offered. I just want to mentor the younger ones.
The reason why this journalist started this blog two years ahead of me is not really to whack Pakatan Harapan or the DAP, because we all understand that the real issues are with the local government tier. We are not novices.
The problem is not us, but the people appointed by the political parties to manage the local council that fail to understand the lackadaisical attitude of the local councils. In fact, my impression of Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has totally changed after reading some of the blogposts.
There are concerns now that we are allowing our local governments go on their business as usual without proper accountability. And if this goes on, cities will turn into slums like the City of Los Angeles. Whether PH or Barisan Nasional wins, the local government must be revamped.
For now, however, one conclusion that I can safely make is that, since PH came into power in Selangor for 2+1 terms, it has failed to revamp the local councils. Instead, what I am aware of is that the Reformasi process was and is still being sabotaged by individuals linked to the Sheraton Coup.
If Penang can become a cleaner state, why can't Selangor? Tony, you ask Azmin Ali and Amirudin Shari. This is your job, not ours.
Ours is just to whack you guys if you fail to deliver your promises. You don't have to come back to Damansara and offer to make do what you failed to deliver.
Perhaps, after this, Pua should do an Ishikawa Diagram with his team and be humble to learn maybe they should be longkang MPs after all. There must a reason why people are giving to a thumbs-up to my simple blogpost. It's because the daily issues such as potholes, illegal dump and poor public amenities are still issues that affect people the most.
Here are just some samples of people's responses:
