What is the use of the Taklimat Kesedaran?
When politicians do things, it's all for the sake of good look. Or, is it just to campaign for the coming general election and show the bosses that we have done something?
There is a lot of touch and go stories to tell about the way how our local governments are run. A lot of public funds are wasted because they are just doing thing without using their brains.
After the briefing session, I guess we will see a lot of improvement to the Zones managed by the Selayang Municipal Council. If that happens, bravo! If you tell me it's long term solution, do you think I will buy the story?
In this banner, the present councillor, Calvin Cheong appointed by Damansara MP, Tony Pua, is seen going to be the main highlight for the talk about cleanliness in Zone 23. It's just two hours, when there is hardly any crowd. I wonder if they will sponsor food and drinks to attract more people to come.
Right in front of his own service centre, there is illegal dump all the time yet, I wonder if he sees the dump.

Do the Right Things
When complaints of illegal dump was brought to the former local councillor, he merely said to install the CCTV at the spot.
I guess a CCTV has been installed, but the signboard ends up just next to the garbage dump. What a waste of resources. Mr Ng Wei Keong, please let us know how much money was spent on the CCTV and how effective is the CCTV to nab the dumpsters?
But when I asked about an earlier photograph which someone took, whether a summons had been issued, there was dead silence.
So, what's the point of having a CCTV then? Why does Tony Pua, who is often seen fighting for the rakyat's money from being squandered away (for that, I say Bravo!), allowing his own people to waste public funds on a CCTV and even banners that I wonder if it would do any good.
This is the problem with our politicians. The same can also be said of both Amiruddin Shaari (Menteri Besar) and Ng Sze Han (State Exco). We elected PH to form the State Government in Selangor, but after two terms, they appear to have become complacent instead of bringing improvement to Selangor the way how PH has done in Penang.
If the local government fails to deliver, both the Menteri Besar and State Exco are ultimately responsible for not doing their job.
