Still dirty after the Star Metro report

This is the rubbish in front of Zone 23 councillor Calvin Cheong's office

I have a habit to monitor the situation after a report has been lodged previously in the Star Metro in May this year.

What is the difference? Pictures don't lie. They paint a thousand words. The Selayang Municipal Council should apply to the State Government to make a visit to Penang to see how they do the job of keeping the state clean. Perhaps, it's a good holiday trip for them.

Poor guys working for KDEB. The contractors have to clean up the area when MPS fails to educate the public and fail to be on the ground to do its job.

MPS should realise that it is not just the KDEB's responsibility to clean up but also educate the public. In Penang, I am told they provided every home with a big green bin. If you litter your rubbish, you will be fined. As a result, Penang has become so impressively clean while Selangor is just getting worse every day.

The only difference is now MPS has CCTV sign board. Perhaps, a big budget had been spent on the CCTV camera? Let's see how many people they have caught doing the illegal dumping. How much summons has been issue. Photographs have been submitted to the local councilllors by residents, along with the number plate of the culprit's car, but has any summons been issued?
