State Exco Ng Sze Han, MPS has no budget?

Updated on Dec 1, 2022:

This is already the third term since Pakatan Rakyat took over the state of Selangor. But, I have to say that its performance is below par.

Most of us were willing to give Pakatan Harapan up to 2 + 1 terms to clean up the previous mess, with the hope that in the third term, the state would take off to a new height.

After two years of following with MPS and a series of letters written to (a) MPS Aduan (b) Council President (c) Department Heads (d) local councillor (Ng Wei Keong and now Calvin Cheong) (e) State Assemblyman, Elizabeth Wong (f) former MP, Tony Pua (g) State Exco in charge of local government, Ng Sze Han and (h) Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari, I have to give them the thumbs down.

Even after the GE15, I have yet to see Gobind Singh Deo, the newly elected Damansara MP. Before the GE, there were promises to fix the problems `within the next few days.' But GE15 is over, there is nothing but just silence, despite my several requests to meet and show him the problems.

After Amirudin's level, do I still need to write to the two Deputy Prime Ministers and the Prime Minister himself? How can we expect to see changes to the country if simple things like this, the very people responsible on the ground can't care less? Unless the Local Government is reformed, the country will continue to be in a 3rd world nation whether it is run by BN, PN, PH or Unity Government.

When I asked about the reflective mirror at this road shoulder, I was told that they were installed as part of safe city initiatives, while the junction which I see the need for a reflective mirror was dismissed as "not necessary."

I have one question for the Selayang Municipal Council then. Why, after removing the reflective mirrors that were damaged by fallen trees at Persiaran KIP 2, they were not being replaced at the same time? Isn't it for a Safer City? Or, is it again a 'touch-n-go' kind of job?

Look at this children's facility at this housing estate. After a complaint was lodged about the safety of children at stake, the ring was removed, but a new set of children's playset was never installed. Why?

Oh yes, removed ....

But, where is the replacement of children's play set for the younger children who have to play here?

Not to mention the playground. Look at the following pictures. Make no mistake this is not a lake, but a playground for children that has not been properly managed by MPS.

Every weekend, the uncles and aunties have to use this pathway for their morning walk. Does MPS care?

This is what it is like after some rain...

If MPS keeps saying it has no budget to do the job, something must be very wrong. Where did the money all go?
