YB Gobind, please set a good example to your fellow party members

Image
This drain was finally fixed after the MP pushed the button on the local council and its councillor. Why does it have to be that way? Local councillors and local council staff are paid a salary to do the job.  For the past few years, we have had local councillors who are operating like the ones before 2008. This is the problem after PH has been in power for 15 years in Selangor. A new MB should be appointed, and a new state exco should be set up. Local councils should be headed by YDPs who are always on the ground, not like the YDP of MPS and the heads of departments who received Whatsapp photographs and complaints and does nothing about the complaints. This is what prompted me to start this blog a few years ago.  ================================ (This blogpost was delayed 2 weeks because Gobind asked for time to resolve the issues yet a few issues which he asked for as a matter of priority have yet to be resolved. I have asked and informed him on two occasions on June ...

One-Way Streets creating more mess

Image
No one complained about the one-way streets here in Aman Puri until more condominiums starting to emerge.           Instead of dispersing the traffic, motorists find themselves circulating within the same area only to join back onto the main road where the jam builds up especially during peak hours.           What our town planners have failed to realise is that, besides creating inconvenience to the motorists, they are hardly solving the traffic congestion.           By turning these roads into one-way streets, residents from Jalan Puri, for example, have to make one big detour before joining back on Persiaran Perdana.            Vehicles exiting from Jalan Aman, instead of using the traffic light junction to exit into Persiaran Cemara, have to make a U-turn to meet at the same junction as residents from Jalan Puri.           ...

Persistence Pays! Hump Removed after Three Years of Campaign

Image
A video which I just received from a friend tells the full story. He wanted to know what happened.  At last, common sense prevails.           To have a hump that damages the bottom deck of cars, especially cars with lower decks, simply does not make sense. Whatever the argument given by the Resident Association, the hump has finally been removed.            In fact, both humps should have been removed, but the one left behind is not as bad as the other one.           As I believe in harmony and co-existence,  I will first give the benefit of doubt for the moment, although I know that if the car is fully loaded with people, it will still hit this hump albeit slightly. If I complain, it will always be based on facts --- and I will be very persistent until the problem is solved.            Since MPS chose not to remove it for now, if it still causes pr...

Is It Possible to Vote for PH at Federal Level, yet Vote Against PH at State Level?

Image
By Stephen Ng  Is it possible to vote Pakatan Harapan (PH) at the Federal level, yet vote against PH at State level?           The answer is Yes!           But do es this surprise you as coming from one who supports PH?            No, it should not. And I am certainly not a paid Perikatan Nasional cybertrooper based on all the articles that you may have read where I try to knock some common sense into both our ordinary rakyat and the politicians themselves.          I give credit to whom credit is due, but when a minister or a state exco underperforms, I will crack the whip, yet it does not mean that I would not support them. I do this for the sake of the nation, because we have had too many politicians who failed us for as long as we are a nation.  Clarion Call: "Be Humble."          Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has kept ...

Failure of the PH Government in Selangor

Image
This and several other issues not resolved in the past three years show why the local councils must be revamped and Selangor PH should be restructured before the state election, if it wants our votes. Please share this out.  Nearly three years have lapsed since a small section of road was turned into a one-way street. Humps like this built by Selayang Municipal Council (MPS), despite complaints, are not removed.           One excuse after another is given by both the local council. Previously, they promised newly elected MP, Gobind Singh Deo that they would solve the problem before the general election, then after the general election, then before Christmas 2022 but nothing happened even after the New Year.           The last was when  Gobind promised that this matter would be looked into after the Chinese New Year. This is what the local council promised him. The latest was when he told me that they would reve...
